Normally, your data messages are permanently deleted 90 days after delivery. Do you want to keep them after that time? Nothing is impossible. Thanks to archiving. This feature is completely free, but you need to activate it first.

Is this service available in the app?

This service is available on the Citizen's Portal mobile app, so you can use it directly.

What you need

  • Databox connected to the Citizen Portal
  • Be a citizen of the Czech Republic or a foreigner with a residence permit in the Czech Republic

How to do it

Just go to the databox settings in the Citizen Portal, click on the mailbox for which you want to activate archiving and switch the function on.

We will archive your messages after 3 weeks of delivery. This is after the statutory 10-day period after which data messages are deemed to have been delivered, as is the case with registered letters in your own hand.

You can also archive individual messages without activating this feature. Just click on the "copy to archive" button, which can be found below the data message on the bottom left.

What may confuse you is that the message is not moved to the archive, but a copy is made there. It's not a big deal, even though we try to make the mailbox as close to e-mail as possible, there are some differences.
