What is the Citizen Portal

The Citizen's Portal is a gateway to the electronic services of the state, a self-service place for secure and confidential communication between the citizen and the state. You have your own account on the Citizen's Portal to which only you have access. You can manage your documents and other data from state registers and databases. From the Citizen's Portal you can also easily access the portals of other authorities, whether it is the Financial Administration, eRecipe, the Land Registry, MY Taxes, the Social Security Agency, the Labour Office or the portal of your municipality.

Is this service available in the app?

This service is available on the Citizen's Portal mobile app, so you can use it directly.

All you need is a Citizen Identity and, in some cases, the databox of an natural person or a natural entrepreneur.

The Citizen Portal provides two types of services:

Internal services

These are services provided directly in the Citizen Portal, so there is no redirection to any of the other public administration portals. Through it, you can conveniently request an record from the criminal register, check the validity of your documents, turn on notifications of new databox messages, which you can also archive for free thanks to the portal.

External services

These are services that are directly located on the portals of other authorities, but you can also access them through the Citizen Portal. For example, this can be the My Taxes portal, the Czech Social Security Agency ePortal, the Jenda Portal, the Transport Portal or the portals of regions, towns and municipalities. For immediate access to the services on the cooperating portals, you must log in using the Citizen Identity.

Can I access the public administration portals from one place?

Yes, you can. After logging in to the Citizen Portal, you will see tiles on the homepage that you can use to easily log in to selected public administration portals. You can also add a folder for your municipality, your region or another authority to your favourites in your Citizen Portal profile.

My Citizen Identity login is not working, who shall I contact?

In this case, it is best to contact your identification provider directly. In the case of state means (Mobile Key, NIA ID and eObčanka), please contact the SZR Service Desk by phone on +420 227 023 444. It may also be a temporary technical error on the side of the Citizen Identity Portal or the basic registries. We inform about all possible outages on this website.

Will there be more services on the Citizen Portal?

The Citizen's Portal is conceived as a long-term project and its development is ongoing. As we move forward with the electronization and digitalization of public administration, additional services will continue to be added. Gradually, we are arranging with ministries, cities, municipalities and authorities to enable additional services to be processed electronically via the Citizen Portal.

Is my data safe in the Citizen Portal?

Yes. The Citizen's Portal will display your data that is securely stored in public administration information systems. When you log in, your data is loaded, and then when you log out, it is deleted from the Citizen Portal. Therefore, always make sure that you have logged out correctly.
